Allison Fall

Studio 355 owner and teacher Allison Fall has a natural gift as a movement teacher beginning in 1992 as a dance instructor to children. After college she studied and was certified in the pure form of classical Pilates in New York City at Core Pilates, NYC. She continued her in-depth training and education with Peter Roel at the Pilates Shop Yoga Garage, NYC, where she was a teacher as well. She has continually taught movement ever since.
Allison earned her BFA in ceramics at the Ohio State University, while dancing for the Columbus Dance Theater and The Dance Cure. She discovered Pilates while recovering from several injuries and gained a unique understanding of how healing bodies can benefit from a holistic approach.
Allison received her MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a focus in performance, ceramics and sculpture. Allison taught Pilates in Chicago at Frog Temple Pilates, and loved having the opportunity to broaden her understanding of her approach to teaching. Later while living in Berlin her Pilates teaching stimulated her to absorb a new culture while giving her a diverse view on how to communicate simply.
She loved performing in Europe but she also embraced a natural growth as a teacher. In Berlin, Allison committed to a discipline of Ashtanga yoga, which was the type of yoga Joeseph Pilates studied as well, and received her Ashtanga Yoga certification with Chuck Miller and Maty Ezraty at Ashtanga Yoga Berlin in 2011.
Since moving to Davis, California, Allison has enjoyed continuing her education and has received her Melt Method hand and foot certification and recently completed her Level 1 Melt Method certification. This new science and approach to relieving chronic pain has been inspiring as well as influential to understanding a more cohesive approach to movement and enjoying functional posture in everyday life.
Allison has a passion to learn from each and every one of her students. She loves working with all types of body challenges and specializes in post-rehab, pre and post natal, as well as many chronic illnesses. Allison adheres to the philosophy - “The most important thing to remember is to have fun and move”.
